You will be the architect of a collaborative, high-performance team, ensuring that every patient receives world‑class care in a state‑of‑the‑art setting.
- Strategic Leadership:
Align departmental goals with nursing and hospital strategic plans while leading the team through Magnet-level initiatives and shared governance. - Empowering Mentorship:
Serve as a coach to your nursing staff, utilizing behavioral-based interviewing for selection and implementing robust professional development and succession planning. - Operational Excellence:
Manage departmental staffing plans based on census and acuity, ensuring open communication through daily huddles and monthly rounding. - Financial Stewardship:
Oversee operational and capital budgets, analyze productivity, and forecast future revenue to maximize care efficiency. - Quality & Safety:
Drive performance improvement by identifying key indicators, managing incident reporting, and maintaining constant regulatory readiness for state and accreditation standards. - Relationship Management:
Act as a change agent and professional role model, applying expert communication and conflict‑resolution skills to promote healthy team dynamics. - Technological Integration:
Utilize advanced information systems and delivery technologies to enhance daily operations and patient care delivery.
- Licensure:
Current New York State Registered Nursing License/Registration. - Education:
Baccalaureate in Nursing (BSN) required. - Certifications:
BLS Certification (through the American Heart Association); ACLS Certification (required if the supervised department mandates it). - Skills:
Demonstrated foundational knowledge of management skills and professional nursing ethics.
- Specialty Certification:
Certification in Radiology Nursing or CNML (Certified Nurse Manager and Leader) is highly preferred (must be obtained within three years of hire). - Clinical Expertise:
Advanced knowledge of Radiology nursing standards and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Schedule:
Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday – Friday (6:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
