Lead LPN – Urgent Care
Coordinate day‑to‑day patient flow as part of the healthcare team by assisting in planning and implementing patient care interventions and promoting high‑quality patient care in a professional, efficient, and safe manner.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in planning and implementing care interventions to ensure evidence‑based practice is adhered to.
- Direct and support team members to maintain high‑quality patient care.
- Collaborate with providers, supervisors, support staff and other organization members to ensure seamless workflow.
- Communicate effectively to support a cohesive work environment.
- Work with department managers to ensure compliance with the Urgent Care Association of America (UCA) standards and guidelines.
- Assist with training and orientation of new staff, including annual competencies and lab training.
- Assist with problem‑solving daily issues and bring to management as needed.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant practices.
- Facilitate a 5‑star patient experience by serving as a department liaison and resource.
- Oversee COVID‑19 testing workflow.
- Assist with lab error resolution, specimen issues, and courier pickup schedules.
- Monitor site inventory and supply needs; place orders and troubleshoot purchasing issues.
- Review lab logbooks and emergency cart books.
- Cover staffing shortages with clinical duties as needed.
- Review department reports (pending status, missing charges, UC‑to‑ED transfers, etc.).
- Assist with chart reviews to monitor documentation and department goals.
- Assist with Telmed
IQ provider schedules and clinical competencies. - Maintain department forms/handouts at each site and assist with other duties within scope.
Operate within all 6 UCC locations if needed and collaborate with all team members. Provide high‑quality patient care, maintain safety and compliance, and support staff training and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications- Education / Certifications / Licenses: Graduate of an LPN school program; current NYS LPN licensure; required to obtain CT LPN licensure within 3 months of hire; evidence of CT application within one month of hire; maintain CT and NY LPN license; BLS certified upon hire; IV and/or phlebotomy skills preferred; competency skill checklist completed within first 3 months.

Strong verbal and written communication; strong organizational and prioritization; excellent time management; ability to work independently and as part of a team; proficiency in EMR; critical thinking and good judgment in stressful situations.
Hourly rate: $33.99 – $42.50 (based on industry standards and experience/location).
