Position Overview
Nurse America is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a well-established assisted living and memory care community in White Plains, NY.
This role offers a comfortable and supportive work environment with flexible scheduling and competitive pay. The RN will be responsible for overseeing resident care, performing routine assessments, managing care plans, and supporting LPNs and CNAs as needed. You will work closely with residents, families, and providers to ensure consistent, high-quality care while building meaningful relationships. This position is ideal for nurses who prefer a more structured and less hectic setting compared to hospital roles, while still staying clinically engaged.
Both per diem and full-time opportunities are available.
Schedule
- Per Diem & Full-Time Opportunities
- Flexible scheduling (days, evenings, weekends as needed)
Pay Rates:
- RN (Per Diem): $50 - $60/hr
- RN (Full-Time): $45 - $55/hr

- Provide clinical oversight and supervision of nursing staff (LPNs & CNAs)
- Perform resident assessments and monitor ongoing health conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans
- Coordinate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of resident care
- Monitor infection control practices and regulatory compliance
- Educate residents, families, and staff on health conditions and care plans
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training
- Active RN license (NY State)
- Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience (Assisted Living, LTC, SNF, or Memory Care preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience with geriatric and dementia care strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work flexible schedules
- Basic computer proficiency
- Clear background check
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift/carry 25+ lbs as needed
- Assist residents with mobility and daily activities
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
