Description Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Full-Time | White Plains, NY

Starting at $35/hour

Nurse America is seeking a compassionate and reliable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a supportive senior living community in White Plains, NY . This is a great opportunity for an LPN who enjoys medication management, resident-centered care, and working in a team-focused environment.

Schedule
  • Full-Time
  • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed

Starting Rate: $35/hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate medication management and resident care
  • Assist residents with self-administration of medications
  • Maintain medication inventory and records
  • Support physician orders and resident treatments
  • Assist with scheduling and follow-up for medical appointments
  • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid/CPR as needed
  • Maintain accurate resident documentation and care notes
  • Monitor resident conditions and report changes
  • Participate in reassessments and care planning
  • Ensure confidentiality and regulatory compliance
  • Report any concerns of elder abuse or neglect
  • Participate in ongoing training and development
Qualifications
  • Active LPN license
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • (senior living or home-care experience preferred)
  • High school diploma required; college coursework preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Clear background check and fingerprinting
  • Basic computer proficiency

  • Strong teamwork and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations
  • Ability to calculate medication dosages and related figures
  • Calm, professional demeanor in fast-paced situations
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Lift/carry 25+ lbs as needed
  • Bending, reaching, and mobility assistance
  • Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
