Part-Time Homecare Nurse Overview
- Part-Time Homecare Nurse will provide essential nursing care and supervision to patients in a homecare setting.
- Perform physical assessments and ensure skilled nursing care is delivered effectively.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to address patient needs and conditions.
- Flexibility in scheduling with 2-3 workdays per week, including field visits.
- Opportunity to work with diverse patient cases, including dementia and tuberculosis.
- Participate in patient-centered care planning conferences for optimal care delivery.
- Contribute to aide orientation and training sessions monthly.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct thorough physical assessments of patients to evaluate their health status.
- Supervise patient care and re-evaluate conditions for necessary adjustments.
- Implement preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures as required.
- Observe and report any changes in patient conditions to healthcare providers.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on health management.
- Participate in care planning conferences to ensure patient-centered care.
- Complete documentation promptly and accurately for all patient interactions.
- Conduct supervision visits and participate in aide orientation sessions monthly.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Nursing or equivalent education.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with 1-2 years of nursing experience.
- Experience with dementia or tuberculosis patients is preferred.
- Comfortable working in the field and traveling to patient locations.
- Strong documentation and communication skills for effective patient care.
- Ability to supervise and train aides effectively during orientation sessions.
- Proficient in patient-centered care planning and conference participation.
- Flexibility in scheduling with availability for office and field work.
