Full-Time | 2 In-Person Days + Telehealth | Outpatient & Interventional Psychiatry
Aurora Wellness is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing outpatient psychiatry team in White Plains, NY.
This hybrid position combines two 12-hour in-person clinic days (9:00 AM-9:00 PM) with a primarily telehealth schedule for the remainder of the week. The role focuses on adult outpatient psychiatry, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychopharmacology, and longitudinal care, with additional involvement in our growing Spravato® (esketamine) program.

Schedule:
Primarily telehealth - Availability: Minimum 40 clinical hours/week, inclusive of clinic days
- Compensation: Guaranteed minimum + productivity-based earning potential
- Call: None
- Practice Model: Insurance-based behavioral healthcare
Two clinic days account for 24 hours of weekly clinical availability, allowing the remainder of the full-time schedule to be completed primarily through telepsychiatry.
Compensation & Earning PotentialAurora offers a guaranteed minimum compensation structure with productivity-based upside.
Full-time clinicians receive a guaranteed monthly minimum while their patient panel develops. Once productivity earnings exceed that minimum, compensation transitions to the productivity-based amount.
The model provides income stability while allowing compensation to grow with clinical volume.
Actual compensation details and productivity rates will be discussed during the interview process.

No Practice Building RequiredAurora provides the infrastructure behind your practice. You will not be responsible for building your own referral network or managing the business side of outpatient psychiatry.

- Billing and revenue cycle management
- Insurance verification
- Scheduling
- Patient communications

Aurora participates with major commercial payers including Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and others.
Clinical Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via telehealth and in person
- Diagnose and treat adult outpatient psychiatric conditions
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Provide ongoing psychiatric medication management
- Initiate, adjust, and monitor psychotropic medications
- Apply evidence-based psychopharmacology principles
- Monitor treatment response, medication efficacy, tolerability, and adverse effects
- Provide patient education and shared decision-making
- Coordinate care with therapists, psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other clinicians
- Complete timely and compliant documentation within the EHR
- Recognize changes in clinical acuity and coordinate appropriate escalation of care
The patient population includes adults with depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD and trauma-related disorders, insomnia, treatment-resistant depression, and other appropriate outpatient psychiatric conditions.
Interventional Psychiatry & Spravato®During the two White Plains clinic days, the PMHNP will also participate in Aurora's interventional psychiatry program, including care for patients receiving Spravato® (esketamine).
