Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with best practices.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling to individuals and groups.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and treatment outcomes.
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.
- Current PMHNP certification and valid New York State nursing license.
- At least 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing or related field.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health treatment.
