What You Will Do- Assist veterinarians with patient exams, treatments, and procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals during surgical and dental procedures
- Provide compassionate nursing care for hospitalized and recovering patients
- Perform IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and wound management
- Administer medications, vaccines, diagnostics, and treatments
- Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment including radiography
- Communicate clearly with clients about treatment plans and updates
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Work collaboratively with doctors, technicians, and support staff
- Licensed Veterinary Technician or Registered Veterinary Technician with an active New York license
- Graduate of an accredited Veterinary Technology program
- Strong foundational clinical and technical skills
- Comfortable handling patients of various sizes and temperaments
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, team-focused mindset with a desire to keep learning
Newly licensed veterinary technicians are welcome and will receive mentorship and support.
Schedule and Work Life Balance- Full-time position
- Four day work week available
- Occasional half day Saturday
- Ability to leave work at a reasonable hour
- Team support that allows for uninterrupted lunch breaks
- Salary: $26.00-$31.00 an hour, commensurate with experience
