- Our hospital has proudly served the Highland Park community and surrounding North Shore suburbs for over 30 years. - Our multi‑doctor practice emphasizes collaboration, communication, and high‑quality medicine. Whether you’re a new graduate looking for mentorship or a seasoned doctor seeking a flexible schedule, our team is excited to welcome the right candidate who fits our culture.
- We’re open to part‑time or full‑time scheduling depending on the candidate’s needs.
- Friday and Saturday availability strongly preferred
- Additional coverage one weekday (Wednesday or Thursday) ideal, especially if interested in surgery
- Ideally 3 days/week, with flexibility to adjust
- We’re seeking a DVM who can work 3 Saturdays per month, but we’re open to discussing accommodations
- At VCA Cairo, we practice personalized, high‑quality medicine with the support of a strong and skilled medical team.
- Preventive care and wellness exams
- Surgery (routine and some advanced soft tissue procedures)
- Dentistry
- Radiology and in‑house lab capabilities
- Chronic condition management and internal medicine
- End‑of‑life care and client support
- We welcome DVMs with varied interests, and while we’re primarily a dog‑and‑cat practice, we’re open to discussing exotics or other special skills you may bring.

As a VCA Associate, eligible full‑time employees will be rewarded with a comprehensive package, including:
Compensation- Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities and other relevant credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $77,000 to $160,000, based on a 24‑40 hour work week.
- This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.
