Must-haves:

• Experience establishing or setting up a QA automation practice from scratch
• Working at a client who formerly did all QA testing manually and assisted with that transition
• Hands-on experience with Rally Software for Agile project tracking and reporting
• Proficient in using Azure Dev Ops for test planning, execution, and defect lifecycle management
• Ability to write automation test scripts using the language of their choice

Plusses:

• Prior experience in the aviation industry

Day-to-Day:

Our client is looking for a QA Practitioner to sit hybrid in White Plains, NY or Erlanger, KY or Miami, FL (less preferred). This candidate will be heading up the transition to automated QA testing at this client while the internal QA Lead is out on leave. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing homegrown applications, with hands-on experience using Azure Dev Ops and Rally for test management, defect tracking, and Agile collaboration.

This QA professional must have stood up an automation practice at a prior company and be familiar with the transition from manual to automation testing. They will be executing test cases, finding bugs, working alongside developers, and contributing to the quality of software products. The goal is to have 50% of their homegrown applications transitioned to automated QA testing.
