The Junior BDR will place outbound calls to medical, dental, and specialty healthcare practices to schedule qualified appointments for assigned outside sales representatives while building foundational sales, product, and pipeline development skills.
Key Performance Areas & Key Performance Indicators:
Outbound Call Volume (45%):
- Conduct assigned outbound cold calls to medical, dental, and specialty healthcare practices within established queues, campaigns, and territory priorities.
- Maintain consistent activity during scheduled calling blocks and accurately result every call with complete notes and next-step context.
Appointment Generation (35%):
- Schedule qualified appointments for assigned Outside Sales representatives using current calendars, territory alignment, and availability.
- Confirm practice, contact, and appointment details; provide a complete handoff and promptly communicate schedule changes.
- Performance against the appointment and efficiency KPIs will be evaluated using the most recent four full workweeks.
Sales Quality & Development (20%):
- Use approved messaging and qualification procedures consistently while presenting Myriad's healthcare solutions.
- Participate in coaching, call reviews, and product training; apply feedback to improve call quality and appointment conversion.
- Collaborate with Outside Sales, Quality Assurance, other BDRs, and leadership to resolve handoff or documentation issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or comparable sales experience is preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience in outbound sales, appointment setting, customer service, or a related environment is preferred.
- Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain high outbound activity, stay organized, and document details accurately.
- Goal-oriented, coachable, and motivated to build a career in sales.
Operations Knowledge - Thoroughly understands the operational procedures for his/her position and how they affect or relate to other departments in the company. Serves as an expert for others.
Product Knowledge - Has a broad knowledge of the products and services offered. Is aware of the features and pricing of the products and services they support. Is able to recommend the appropriate product or service that will meet the customer's needs.
Compliance Knowledge - In addition to having a solid knowledge of organization-wide regulations, the employee has a thorough knowledge of regulations & laws that relates to his/her department. Other employees might rely on this employees’ compliance knowledge to answer questions.
Customer Service - Provides a consistent level of service to all internal and/or external customers. Maintains good communication by keeping the customer up-to-date on the progress of a request. Follows through on requests, questions, or complaints. Displays a positive, professional image and maintains composure at all times.
