Primary PurposeThe District Coaches build strong relationships with district leaders in order to drive instructional leadership and HQIM planning and implementation at the district level. The District Coach (DC) is responsible for working closely with the LIFT Leads (LLs) and to coach and/or coordinate Campus Coaches (CCs) at each ESC to build and execute strategic district and campus level plans for Instructional Leadership practices and High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) planning and implementation.

- Texas Teacher Educator’s certification (required)
- Principal certification (preferred)

- Depth of knowledge in leadership coaching, strategic planning at the systems level, and leading others through influence. Work may include supporting campus administrators and district administrators through capacity-building efforts.
- Strong organizational, communication, public relations, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to create and provide professional development based on predetermined material or resources.
- Ability to interpret data and evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness.
- Ability to facilitate learning experiences using appropriate TEA projects and resources.
- In-depth knowledge of campus leaders’ roles as instructional leaders, including critical instructional leadership tasks such as observation/feedback cycles, data analysis, and professional development.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize data and other authentic instructional artifacts to assess leadership proficiency.
- Ability to self‑reflect, apply feedback, and continuously improve.
- At least 3 years of successful classroom teaching is required.
- 3 years of successful campus principal, central office, or equivalent leadership experience preferred.
- Prior experience planning and implementing HQIM and supporting district and campus leaders to implement HQIM preferred. (Aligned prior experience will be considered for this role)
