Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at White Settlement Nursing Center. As a RN/LVN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and regulations
- Prepare and review medical records and nurse's notes, assessing residents to observe and evaluate their physical and emotional status
- Monitor resident activity, evaluate nursing care in accordance with professional standards, and provide nursing care according to physician's orders, care plans, established standards, and facility policies
- Communicate with residents, family members, other interdisciplinary team members, and management regarding resident status
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician; sign, date, and perform all charting and record keeping in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Lead and monitor licensed and other professionals, providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Assist and participate in developing and implementing a written care plan for individual residents
- Participate in in-service training, assist in implementing orientation programs and job skills training, and maintain professional competence
- Monitor environment and care practices of nursing personnel to ensure compliance with established safety, fire, and disaster procedures, infection control, and facility policies
- Participate in staff development and training programs
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of work and treatment areas
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State
- Experience as a Charge Nurse or supervisory experience preferred
- Must be CPR Certified
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to convey, explain, or interpret complex specialized information related to long-term care rules and regulations
- Ability to build and maintain relationships, coordinate plans, distribute information, and develop a mutual knowledge base for effective implementation of state and federal rules and regulations
