- Responsibilities:
Responsible for conducting problem analysis, pre-purchase equipment evaluations, coordination of outside contractors, installation, training, preventative maintenance, testing and repairs on medical equipment located in the Biomedical Department;
Assists in the management of the Medical Center Biomedical Program in accordance with local and Federal laws, FDA, and Joint Commission regulatory standards;
Engages in planning and directing or overseeing the installation of complex systems and develops additional procedural instructions for equipment repairs as needed;
Maintains security of the institution as part of correctional staff responsibilities;
Develops policies, standards, and procedures for maintenance, installation, or similar functions for biomedical electronic systems or equipment
