Software Engineer, Python
We are seeking a Software Engineer for the F-22 Communication Software team in Ft. Worth, Texas. This role focuses on the software development lifecycle for embedded hardware, integrating solutions into advanced aircraft systems. The position requires collaboration across multiple subsystems and adherence to strict quality and security standards.
Responsibilities- Generate, review, and document requirements for embedded software systems.
- Design system and software architecture that supports mission‑critical operations.
- Implement and test C++/Python code on embedded platforms.
- Adjudicate change requests and manage configuration control throughout the development lifecycle.
- Plan and coordinate multi‑subsystem and system‑level testing with cross‑functional teams.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively to meet program cost and schedule objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related STEM discipline.
- Experience developing in C++ and/or Python.
- Experience with embedded software development toolsets and file formats (compilers, linkers, debuggers).
- U.S. citizenship.
- Secret security clearance required at the start of employment.
- Agile software development practices (Scrum, Kanban).
- Agile process tools such as JIRA.
- Software development tools such as Visual Studio.
- Version control and configuration management using Git.
- Experience with software and systems design and integration.
Annual base salary range: $76,500 – $134,895 for California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding most metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington, D.C. For major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York the range is $88,000 – $152,490. Salary is adjusted based on final location and market factors.
