Accounting Manager; US or Canada

Owner is the AI‑native system local business owners use to succeed, starting with restaurants.

This role is 100% remote and can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada. You will own the financial systems, data flows, and accounting infrastructure, building them inside the system.

• Lead Owner's ERP migration off Quick Books Online to an AI‑first platform, own selection, implementation, data migration, and stabilization, including end‑to‑end design of partnerships and integrations.
• Stand up inventory and COGS accounting inside the ERP—define policies, build an inventory subledger, and deliver trusted COGS reporting.
• Build the international accounting foundation—define entity setup, multi‑currency, intercompany, and consolidation support.
• Identify and deploy AI/automation opportunities across reconciliations, close tasks, and reporting.

• Thomas Peck, Controller – your manager and partner.
• Finance, Logistics, Engineering, and Data teams – partnership on integration design and operational flow.
• External partners – implementation consultants, audit/tax providers, and ERP vendor services.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ERP migration or implementation at a scaling company.
• Experience with inventory accounting and COGS for a physical‑goods business.
• Fluency with accounting systems and integrations, comfortable explaining complex data flows to engineers.
• Experience with multi‑entity, multi‑currency, and intercompany accounting or clear path to it.
• CPA preferred; strong experience in public accounting and high‑growth in‑house roles.
• Builder mindset—operated without a playbook, defined policy from first principles, and written SOPs.

Estimated base salary range: $130,000 – $175,000, plus a generous pre‑IPO equity package. Other benefits include comprehensive health coverage, remote‑first workplace, and unlimited PTO.
