The successful candidate for this position will be a 1099 contractor with Music Ministry International and be responsible for the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop, execute, and manage a comprehensive religious education program for military members and their dependents at MAFB.
- Coordinate all Religious Education program planning, events, Bible studies, VBS, holiday events, and annual budget.
- Direct full-spectrum religious education programs for all ages.
- Serve as liaison between parish program leaders and the Wing Chaplain or designated chaplain.
- Maintain program continuity, develop weekly Bible study curricula for adults and children, and manage a weekly program schedule.
- Implement Religious Education events such as Children’s Christmas program, Vacation Bible School, and Lenten studies.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers, teachers, and teacher’s assistants.
- Ensure volunteers working with youth below 18 receive required background checks.
- Maintain attendance and program status records, submit weekly reports to designated chaplain.
- Organize and budget annual events including VBS, Children’s Christmas program, and other events.
- Prepare and submit an annual religious education calendar and budget.
- Perform clerical tasks related to the program, maintain accurate records in accordance with DoDI and AFI.
- Coordinate with Contracting Officer Representative for sub-contracted coordinators.
- Resolve job-related issues and conflicts with contracting officer representative.
- Familiarity with general Protestant doctrine, teachings, rites, and worship styles.
- Experience in program management and proficiency with Windows-based computer systems (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat).
- Ability to solicit and work harmoniously with volunteer teachers and leaders.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. - Preferred:
Minimum of two years’ experience as a Religious Education Coordinator, Religious Activities Coordinator, or civilian director of religious education or parish programming. - Required:
Successful completion of Installation Records Check, FBI Fingerprint Check, and Tier 1 Child Care Coverage check (including State Crime History Report) for all individuals working with children under 18.
Part‑time position with compensation based on budget and the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications.
