Housekeeping Attendant

A pristine environment is the backbone of a great guest experience! The lakefront resort is a refined 4-star low-lit lodge overlooking surrounding mountains and Whitefish Lake. You will prepare and keep guest quarters tidy to a standard of upscale hospitality. The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, one of Montana's AAA Four Diamond resorts, is seeking a Housekeeping Attendant to work with our Housekeeping Team. Pay ranges $20-$25 hourly DOE.

Principle

Responsibilities and Position Purpose

A housekeeper is responsible for ensuring rooms and other areas of the hotel are kept clean every day while ensuring housekeeping departmental standards are followed. Cleaning includes, but is not limited to, making beds, replacing used towels with new ones, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and ensuring new toiletries provided by the hotel are placed at appropriate areas. Consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs cleaning duties in all guest areas and back of house.
  • Uses Maid Cart when cleaning rooms as well as maintaining inventory of necessary supplies.
  • Empties garbage, removes linens and towel.
  • Remakes bed with fresh linens and restocks room with towels, amenities, etc.
  • Reports necessary maintenance issues to Front Office so a work order is made.
  • Follows departmental policies and procedures.
  • Follows all safety and sanitation policies.
  • Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Ability
  • Operating Housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, mops, maid cart, etc.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs or more on a regular basis.
  • Ability and willingness to adhere to all Averill Hospitality policies and ensure departmental personnel compliance.
  • Must maintain a positive influence in the community and positive relations with area vendors.

Schedule and Benefits

The Housekeeping Attendant position is expected to normally keep a 5-day a week schedule, 40 hours per week can be expected, however it can be more or less depending on the business needs of the hotel. Ability to work weekend, events, and holidays as needed.
