Security Guard | Whitefish

Job Responsibilities

• Patrols hospital premises to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
• Examines doors, windows, and gates for security and suspicious activity.
• Interacts with all hospital staff and escorts personnel, patients, and visitors to designated locations on foot or in patrol vehicle.
• Responds to emergency alarms and code situations, minimizing unsafe conditions.
• Assists in crowd control and evacuation as required, following organizational guidelines.
• Composes reports and documents interactions per standard operating guidelines.
• Serves as liaison between the hospital and local law enforcement.
• Maintains knowledge of hospital floor plan and emergency entry points; performs area lockdowns as assigned.
• Investigates and reports signs of damage or unlawful activity to the appropriate authority.
• Confronts unauthorized or suspicious individuals for questioning and detainment; calls local police as appropriate.
• Ensures parking‑lot security, verifies parking placards for authorized parking, and examines incoming/outgoing vehicles.
• Participates in other security/safety functions, including trainings and drills.
• Drives the ground ambulance when required and transports documents and/or money.
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled.

• Minimum of one (1) year of security or law‑enforcement experience preferred.
• Must meet Montana State Security Officer licensing requirements and obtain license within 30 days of hire.
• Current Montana driver license required; good driving record without major offenses.
• Heartsaver CPR certification required.
• Experience in a health‑care environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic security and fire inspection procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft standard business applications preferred.

Night Shift – 12 hours.
Flexible schedule required; possible holidays and weekend assignments.
