Position Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support hotel operations across the property, reporting to the Director of Engineering.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain all areas of hotel utilities and basic functions (electrical, plumbing, telephone, HVAC, audio systems, outdoor irrigation, elevators, alarm systems, pool systems, and guest room amenities).
- Monitor work order system, manage scope and timing of tasks, and adhere to procedures.
- Work full‑time with reliable, punctual attendance.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of common areas, mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies from residents or property management.
- Complete repairs involving carpentry, drywall, painting, minor appliance servicing, and basic plumbing/electrical work.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in shared spaces such as lobbies, hallways, fitness centers, and pool areas.
- Collaborate with contractors/vendors for specialized repairs or inspections.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, inventory, and work orders.
- Ensure compliance with safety codes, building regulations, and company policies.
- Work effectively with co‑workers and interface with all departments requiring maintenance functions.
- Perform routine duties independently.
- Follow directions and instructions from supervisor and work in accordance with established policies.
- Sound judgment, thoroughness, and competence.
- Full knowledge of importance of work performance and its impact on hotel operations.
- Trustworthy, honest, and reliable.
- Work well with co‑workers; always courteous, helpful, and considerate to guests and co‑workers.
Education
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
Experience / Licenses or Certificates
- 2+ years in a similar role.
