The City of Whitefish, Montana is actively recruiting for an Street & Utility Maintenance Assistant Operator to join the Public Works department.

It is located on the shores of Whitefish Lake and the base of Big Mountain - home to Whitefish Mountain Resort. Fiscal Year 2026:
Salary range is $23.90 - $34.11 per hour. Starting pay rate is $23.90 per hour with an attractive benefits package.

GENERAL

PURPOSE:

This is an entry level position performing a variety of construction, maintenance and physical work tasks. Operates a variety of general equipment, heavy equipment and trucks utilized in construction, maintenance and repair of public infrastructure; performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the maintenance, repair and construction of streets, alleys, water, sewer and storm drainage systems.
