PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION
PURPOSE:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. This role is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of facilities, ensuring a safe, functional, and visually appealing environment for residents and guests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of common areas, mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies from residentsor property management.
- Complete repairs involving carpentry, drywall, painting, minor appliance servicing,and basic plumbing/electrical work.
- Maintaincleanliness and order in shared spaces such as lobbies, hallways, fitness centers, and pool areas.
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors when specialized repairs or inspections are required.
- Ensureall work is performed in compliance with safety codes, building regulations, and company policies.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, inventory, andwork orders.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training is aplus.
- Proven experience in property or building maintenance, preferably in aresidential or multi-family housing setting.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility towork on-call shifts, weekends, or respond to after-hours emergencies when needed.
High School graduate or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE/ LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES2+ years’ experience in similar role preferred.
