Location: North Whitehall Township

Seeking skilled Special Education Teachers for vital contract positions serving students across Carbon and Lehigh Counties. These itinerant roles ensure consistent educational support and coverage within a region ideal for educators who are adaptable, team-focused, and passionate about special education. The positions are based on a 35-hour work week, aligning with the traditional school calendar from August 10, 2026, through June 11, 2027.

While the main administrative office is headquartered in Schnecksville, daily assignments will vary across multiple classrooms within either Carbon or Lehigh Counties.

Key Qualifications &

Experience:
  • Valid Pennsylvania teaching license (active).
  • Current PA PDE Certification:
    Acceptable credentials include Experience-Based Certificate in Special Education PK-12, Instructional I, and/or Instructional II in Special Education subject areas.
  • Direct experience working with students with special needs.
  • Proven involvement in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • In-person availability; remote options are not available.
  • Comfortable working across multiple sites, occasionally covering extended leaves or vacations as needed.
  • Evidence of active licensure and certification, verifiable through TIMS.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality instructional support in varied special education settings.
  • Cover short- or long-term teacher absences.
  • Contribute to and support IEP planning, meetings, and execution.
  • Adapt to daily classroom assignments as determined by region needs.
  • Maintain open communication with staff and administration to foster optimal learning environments.
