Special Education Teacher in Schnecksville, PA

Youll work with students who have diverse academic, behavioral, and developmental needs, adapting your skillset to make an immediate impact in multiple classroom environments. As an itinerant substitute, your days will be dynamic covering for leaves, supporting vacancies, and providing specialized instruction where it matters most.

Your role could include assignments in enhanced autism programs, functional classrooms, and emotional support settings. Each placement is designed to match your strengths with the needs of students, whether thats delivering ABA-informed strategies, supporting behavioral or emotional regulation, or implementing adapted curricula.

• Pennsylvania Special Education certification (preferred/required based on assignment)
• Proven experience teaching in special education classrooms
• Skilled in implementing IEP goals and differentiated instruction
• Effective classroom management and strong behavioral support background
• Collaborative approach: able to partner with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
• Flexible mindset, ready to move between programs and classroom settings
• Preferred: experience with autism support, emotional/behavioral health, multiple disabilities, or IU/specialized schools

• Contract position (August 10, 2026 June 11, 2027)
• 35 hours per week; follows assigned school calendar
• School-day schedule with start/end times varying by program
• Serve diverse student populations and enrich your teaching repertoire
• Candidates must live within approximately 35 minutes of assigned sites
