, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

  • Valid Driver's License
    All candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). This is essential for roles that require driving as part of job responsibilities.

  • Access Control/Badge Experience
    Candidates should have experience with access control systems and badge management (B201). Familiarity with these systems is crucial for maintaining security protocols within the organization.

  • Alarm Panel Experience
    Experience with alarm panel systems (B202) is required for positions that involve monitoring and responding to security alarms. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of alarm operations and emergency response procedures.

  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet
    Proficiency in using computers or tablets (B204) is necessary for all roles. Candidates must be comfortable navigating software applications and performing tasks digitally.

  • CPR Certification
    Candidates must hold a current CPR certification (B205). This certification is vital for ensuring the safety and well‑being of employees and clients in emergency situations.

  • Customer Service Experience
    A background in customer service (B219) is essential for roles that involve direct interaction with clients or customers. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent service.

06:00 AM - 12:00 PM

How This Role Works:

  • Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, campus‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit procedures in accordance with site‑specific policies.
