Our client is a large regional law firm recognized for their areas of expertise and their exceptional team. Our client is looking for a commercial litigator focused on banking law and insolvency and restructuring.
The Associate will represent financial institutions, creditors, trustees and businesses in the telecom industry and others. The Associate will be expected to defend the rights and interests of an array of institutional and private lenders and assist and support trustees and receivers in fulfilling their mandates.

- Represent financial institutions, creditors, trustees in bankruptcy, and corporate clients in commercial litigation with a focus on banking law, insolvency, and restructuring.

- Member in good standing with the Barreau du Québec.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a strong emphasis on banking law, insolvency, and restructuring.

- Strong litigation, advocacy and negotiation skills, particularly in defending the rights of institutional and private lenders.
- Proficiency in drafting pleadings, motions, and legal opinions related to insolvency proceedings.
- Familiarity with the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA), Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA), and relevant provincial legislation.
- Bilingual (French and English) preferred, especially for practice in Quebec.
- Strong ethical standards and ability to manage sensitive financial matters with discretion.
