Fish or Aquatic Biologist

We have an immediate, full-time permanent position for a Fish or Aquatic Biologist

If you have a background in Aquatic Biology, Environmental Sciences, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering effective results, you could be the person we are looking for.

• Completing fieldwork related to fish, fish and aquatic habitat across the Yukon and beyond
• Data management, analysis and reporting
• Assisting with project assessment (YESAA) and permitting (Fisheries Act) of their projects
• Environmental monitoring for construction projects
• Working effectively in a team environment to meet goals of the project productively and safely
• Participating proactively in EDI’s health and safety program

• A passion for your career and a desire for lifelong learning

• An undergraduate degree with 3 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 1 year of experience in a related discipline
• Fish and/or aquatic biology expertise. Experience with sonars would be an asset
• Consulting experience would be an asset
• A proven record of professional report writing and data analysis
• Registration or eligibility for registration as a RPBio or as PBiol is considered an asset
