We have an immediate, full-time permanent position for a Fish or Aquatic Biologist
, based in our Whitehorse office. This role offers professional development, and a chance to shape your career within a supportive and collaborative environment. If you have a background in Aquatic Biology, Environmental Sciences, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering effective results, you could be the person we are looking for.

- Completing fieldwork related to fish, fish and aquatic habitat across the Yukon and beyond
- Data management, analysis and reporting
- Assisting with project assessment (YESAA) and permitting (Fisheries Act) of their projects
- Environmental monitoring for construction projects
- Working effectively in a team environment to meet goals of the project productively and safely
- Participating proactively in EDI’s health and safety program
- A passion for your career and a desire for lifelong learning
- An undergraduate degree with 3 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 1 year of experience in a related discipline
- Fish and/or aquatic biology expertise. Experience with sonars would be an asset
- Consulting experience would be an asset
- A proven record of professional report writing and data analysis
- Registration or eligibility for registration as a RPBio or as PBiol is considered an asset
