Your role will require you to bring a high standard of scientific excellence to your daily work. The following responsibilities will be in your domain:

• Leading and supporting the planning and implementation of fisheries and aquatic assessment projects and field programs across Canada.
• Conducting assessments focused on fish habitat, fish communities and health, integrating elements in areas such as geomorphology, limnology, hydrology, water/sediment quality, and benthic invertebrate communities.
• Contributing aquatics expertise to large multi-disciplinary projects in collaboration with senior staff, clients, government agencies, First Nations, regulators, and other project partners.
• Mentoring junior team members and supporting knowledge sharing within the aquatic sciences team.
• Representing Trinity Consultants Canada - Water & Ecology in the scientific community through high-quality deliverables, industry engagement, and participation in technical conferences.

• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
• P.Bio. (or equivalent professional designation), or eligibility for registration
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including fish collection using various methods, fish community characterization, and assessment of fish population and health data.
• Strong knowledge of statistical analysis
• Experience in the mining sector is an asset.
• Experience in habitat characterization for Fisheries Act Authorizations and specialist-level knowledge of habitat requirements for Canadian freshwater fish species.
