Journeyman Service Technician, Yukon Nissan

Yukon Nissan is looking for a skilled, motivated, and dependable Automotive Service Technician to join our Service Department.

As a Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles safely, accurately, and efficiently. Your work is an important part of the overall customer experience, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in doing quality work and getting the job done right.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, safety-conscious, and committed to continuous learning . You work well independently, but understand that a strong Service Department is built on teamwork and communication.

• Perform vehicle maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect vehicles and identify additional maintenance, safety, or repair requirements.
• Complete repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
• Clearly document vehicle findings, recommendations, and work completed.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor throughout the repair process, including additional concerns, delays, or changes to the work required.
• Complete road tests as required to verify repairs.
• Perform safety inspections in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Follow manufacturer repair procedures, technical specifications, and safety standards.
• Complete repair orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Properly use and maintain tools and equipment.
• Follow all applicable workplace health and safety requirements and dealership policies.
• Participate in ongoing training and stay current with new vehicle technology, systems, and repair procedures.

• Valid driver's licence.
• Valid Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of automotive service technician experience preferred .
• Dealership experience is an asset.
• Nissan experience is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Willingness to complete and maintain manufacturer training and certifications.
