We seek one or more adjunct Engineering instructors to teach courses in Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. Candidates available to teach 50% FTE or more may be considered for a salaried Lecturer title instead. The appointment is fixed-term with reappointment dependent on university needs, funding, staffing, enrollment, and external factors.
Courses to be taught include:
- EGR 105 – Engineering Fundamentals
- EGR 110 – Engineering Graphics with CAD
- EGR 201 – Statics
- EGR 203 – Mechanics of Materials
- EGR 282 – Engineering Economics
University of Wisconsin‑Whitewater does not offer H‑1B or other work authorization visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term. UW‑Whitewater is not an e‑verify employer; therefore STEM extensions are not options for work authorization.
CompensationPay is $1,867 per credit, with 15 credits equal 1.0 Full Time Equivalency. Candidates hiring for more than a 50% FTE position become salaried, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications. UW System employees that qualify receive a comprehensive benefit package.
Required Qualifications- A Master’s Degree in engineering
- A Master’s Degree in a related field and 18 graduate credit hours in engineering
- A Master’s Degree in a related field with strong evidence of teaching engineering
- Experience teaching lower‑division college engineering or co‑requisite support courses.
- Experience using learning management software (Canvas).
- Willingness and ability to be an active participant in applicable safety rules and regulations, including necessary training drills.
- Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
