Attention:

The College of Integrated Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Rock-County Campus seeks a Program Specialist(Academic Program Specialist, AE010).

The academic program coordinator contributes to the development,implementation, administration, coordination, and evaluation for bachelor degree completion programs and pathways in the College of Integrated studies to ensure effectiveness in meeting departmental and student development goals and initiatives. These programs include the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences Program, Partnersin Engineering Programs, and the K-9 Teaching Emphasis.

The academic program coordinator reports directly to the Director of the Solution Center.

• Serves as a program coordinator of the Bachelor of Applied Artsand Sciences Program
• In conjunction with the Director of the Solution Center, assists with program coordination of other bachelor’s levelprograms in the college (Partners in Engineering Programs, and theK-9 Teaching Emphasis.
• Coordinates with academic partners on program needs
• Develops a recruitment plan for the BAAS and Partners in Engineering Programs
• Liaise with technical college and business partners on program enhancements.
• Coordinates program components and evaluates program effectiveness for continuous improvement.
• Coordinates with College of Education and Professional Studiescertifying officer and Director of Clinical experiences for the K-9
  
  Teaching Emphasis licensure requirements.
• Ensures proper documentation of licensure requirements.

• Serves as advisor for BAAS students by assisting students with program planning, general course selection, registration, and schedule review
• Engage students in decision making processes and promotesappropriate and responsible choices on academic matters such ascourse selection and degree requirements
• Refer students to appropriate campus resources which couldsupport their success and engagement with the campus community
• Counsel students on academic probation, receiving academicalerts, and/or are identified as being at risk to succeed
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate student records and processes and responds to academic inquiries according to established institutional and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) policies
• Assists with onboarding students

• Serve as a member of the Solution Center staff and will be cross trained on duties
• Assist with organization and serve as an advisor for Student Orientation and Registration days.
• Participate in student welcome and other campus events
• Serve on college and university committees
• Carry out other duties as assigned
