Job Description:
Estimator - Metal Fabricated Equipment Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at our manufacturing facility located in Whitewater, WI, 53190. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in accurately assessing custom dolly and rack project costs and providing detailed estimates for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our company and work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities Analyze project specifications and requirements to determine accurate cost estimates
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
Prepare and submit detailed and competitive quotes to clients within specified deadlines
Review and evaluate subcontractor proposals and negotiate pricing when necessary
Conduct thorough research on materials, labor, tooling, and equipment costs to ensure accurate estimates
Maintain a comprehensive database of historical cost data for future reference and analysis per established procedure.
Provide support to project teams during the design and manufacturing phases.
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to enhance estimating accuracy
Collaborate with the sales team to develop winning strategies and proposals for potential projects
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Proven experience as an Estimator applied in a metal fabrication environment
Strong knowledge of metal fabrication methods, materials, and costs
Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Strong organizational and time management abilities
You should be proficient in:
Experience in a Manufacturing Environment Blueprint Reading Basic Computer Skills Microsoft Excel
