McCullough’s LTC Pharmacy is a family-owned, independent, long-term care pharmacy located in Whitewater, WI. Our pharmacy delivers packaged medications to assisted-living facilities and supported-living residents in southern Wisconsin. With a focus on understanding the unique needs of each facility, our dedicated staff of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and delivery drivers strive to provide exceptional care to the residents we service.
We are currently looking for a full-time or part-time pharmacist to join our team.
Responsibilities- Provide verification of prescriptions dispensed to long-term care facilities (including both daily new prescriptions and cycle fill medications)
- Evaluate prescriptions orders for appropriateness of drug, dosing, drug-interactions, etc.
- Complete drug regimen reviews for new admissions
- Coordinate with hospital and facility staff during transitions of care to complete medication reconciliation process
- Provide drug information to facility staff
- Communicate with clinic staff to clarify prescriptions
- Ensure compliance with company policies and pharmacy practice regulations
- Oversee and direct pharmacy technicians in daily work flow
- Administer immunizations and other injectable medications (on-site at facilities and in the pharmacy)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Immunization certification (required; candidates may also become certified after hire)
- Certification to administer non-immunization injectable medications (preferred but not required; candidates may also become certified after hire)
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy (preferred, but will train qualified candidates)
- Experience with Rx30 pharmacy software (preferred, but will train)
- 36-40 hours/week for full-time (will also consider candidates interested in part-time)
- Weekday shifts ranging from 8:00am-8:00pm (one shift per week with 8:00pm close)
