Material Handler - 3rd Shift

Role Summary

Material Handler, Production, is responsible for the efficient inspecting, storing, and issuing of a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies within the plant. This role involves accurately processing and delivering materials to meet production schedules, while safely operating powered industrial equipment, including forklifts. This role will streamline operations by utilizing warehouse equipment and technology, such as JDE, RFS, and RF systems, to track inventory movement effectively.

• Deliver raw materials to work centers promptly to support production operations and minimize downtime

• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through regular counts and reconciliations, ensuring stock levels align with production needs

• Ensure all materials are correctly labeled and packaged, inspecting for damage to uphold quality standards

• Utilize warehouse equipment effectively to streamline operations, ensuring timely movement of materials throughout the facility

• Utilize JDE, RFS, and RF technology to accurately track inventory movement and streamline production processes

• Mechanical aptitude to work with equipment such as dryers, grinders, color feeders, etc

• Safely operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, to facilitate material handling tasks

• Schedule, move, weigh, and stock, product utilized in production maintaining optimal inventory levels

• Ensure the safe transport of materials and products to and from the production floor

• Identify and recommend opportunities for operational enhancements to streamline workflows and increase efficiency

• Perform all other duties as assigned

• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 2 years of experience

• Experience driving powered industrial equipment

• Possess solid working knowledge of subject matter

• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills

• Basic mathematical skills

• Attention to detail

• Excellent time management

• Ability to problem solve

• Ability to work in a team.

• Basic computer knowledge including ERP systems

• Must be able to push/pull objects up to 30 pounds

• Must have the dexterity to handle small objects

• Must be able to work in noisy environments.
