Ready to move your career forward? As a Technician at Penske, you’ll perform preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles, keeping customers’ vehicles in shape and on the road.
Work Location:

- Ensuring vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
- Performing preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment independently and timely
- Repairing and troubleshooting components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
- Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training
- Assisting with other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor

- Location and schedule flexibility
- 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
- Specialized training and experience in diagnosis and troubleshooting of major components and ASE certification, 608/609 certifications preferred
- Proficient with diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools
- Valid driver’s license required
- Problem solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Teamwork ability
- Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
- Basic computer skills
- Understanding and compliance with Penske management instructions, DOT, OSHA, and safety policies
- Full attendance essential
- Requirements related to driving Penske and customer vehicles, DOT regulations, and driver qualification file
- Willingness to travel within the district for customer yards, training sites, etc.
- Background screening, drug screening, and pre-employment requirements
- Move, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods
- Use hands frequently to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and operate required tools or controls
- Work safely at heights with ladders and working platforms
- Operate safely in all weather conditions
- See and hear clearly to navigate workplace safely
- Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg); push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 lbs
