The Code Enforcement Officer is a sworn enforcement position upholding property maintenance standards in accordance with local ordinances. Work includes investigating complaints, citing and abating nuisances and addressing zoning violations.
Works with general public in a calm, responsive manner
May be exposed to difficult/emotional situations involving potentially dangerous people, animals and locations
Assists with court cases and testifies as needed

RequirementsAbility and willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
May require working irregular hours and weekends when needed
Must have valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Minimum High School Diploma/GED required
