Position: Underground Utility Construction Laborer (CDL-A Required)

Utility Construction Laborer

Join a crew that builds the infrastructure communities rely on every day. As an Underground Utility Construction Laborer, you'll work hands-on installing and replacing critical water and sewer systems while supporting a skilled field team. This is an active, outdoor role for individuals who take pride in hard work, value safety, and want to be part of a team that gets the job done right.

Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground water and sewer utilities

Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites

Install and remove water and sewer mains in accordance with plans and specifications

Read and interpret construction drawings and instructions to perform work accurately

Drive company vehicles to job sites in compliance with DOT requirements

Perform traffic control and flagging to maintain safe job site conditions

Follow all safety procedures and report incidents as required

Travel to project sites throughout Michigan as needed

Compensation is based on the applicable union scale, with opportunities for higher starting pay based on experience. Minimum Starting Pay: $31.66/hour (includes $2.00/hour CDL Premium) ($27.66/hour base wage + $4.00/hour vacation pay (taxable)
