Salary:
Bachelor’s Degree – $70.00/hr.
Master’s Degree – $72.00/hr.

Location:

Main Campus and High School partners.

Position Overview

Teach ESL courses assigned during day and evening hours. Commit to professional excellence and continuous growth in teaching.

Responsibilities
  • Teach ESL courses as assigned during day and evening hours.
  • Maintain professional standards and adhere to campus policies.
  • Participate in professional development and community engagement activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in teaching English as a second language, or teaching English to speakers of other languages.
  • OR a bachelor’s degree in education, English, linguistics, or related field and a certificate in teaching ESL, which may be completed during the first year of employment.
  • OR a bachelor’s degree with specified majors and at least one year teaching ESL experience plus a certificate in teaching ESL, which may be completed during the first two years of employment.
  • OR possess a California Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in English as a second language.
  • OR a valid California Community College Credential authorizing teaching of the appropriate subject.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and understanding of diverse student backgrounds.
