Kinesiology Instructor, Part-Time Pool

Basic Function/Definition

This is a recruitment to fill a part‑time position. The hiring manager may contact you if your department or division is interested in scheduling an interview.

• Master’s degree in kinesiology, physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise or adaptive physical education.
• Or Bachelor’s degree in any of the above and Master’s degree in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration or physical therapy.
• Or the equivalent.
• A Master’s degree in any discipline and a Bachelor’s or BS in PE, Dance, Health, Recreation Administration, Kinesiology or Physical Therapy.
• A Master’s in any discipline and 18 units of graduate‑level courses in PE, Kinesiology, Dance and Health, and two (2) years of full‑time or equivalent teaching experience in PE.
• A Master’s Degree in Dance or Fine Arts with a major in Dance.

Assignment may include teaching courses as assigned during day or evening, weekday, weekend or online. You should have a commitment to professional excellence and continuous growth in the fields of teaching. Other professional responsibilities and activities normally expected of community college faculty as described by Board Policies and the California Education Code.

Any degree from a country other than the United States, including Canada and Great Britain, must be evaluated by an Evaluation Service before the closing date. Certification must be attached with copies of transcripts.

We value candidates with additional experience, certifications, or special teaching credentials that enhance the Kinesiology program.

Verification of qualifications and proper credentials is required in accordance with California regulations.

Part‑time instruction in the classroom, possible evening or weekend availability, campus or online teaching, in alignment with the college schedule.
