Education:

Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade Training or coursework in child growth and development, special education, instructional technology, or a closely related field desirable and subject areas dealing with severely handicapped

The East Whittier City School District provides educational opportunities (transitional kindergarten through eighth grade, including special education) for approximately 9,000 children. The District employs approximately 1,075 teachers, administrators and support staff. We have 13 schools which operate on a traditional school year schedule.
