Substitute Teacher
Appropriate credential or permit issued by the CTC: 30-day teaching permit, multiple subject, or single subject teaching credential. Substitute teachers will be paid at the rate of $195 per day K-8 certificated teachers. If employed continuously for a period exceeding 10 consecutive days for the same teacher, the rate increases to $215 per day K-8 beginning on the 11th consecutive day.
Partial days will be prorated based on a 7 hour day.
Must have a California Teaching Credential or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit Ability to work effectively in a multi-ethnic setting. Applicants must meet all Basic Skill Requirements + Copy of Transcript (Sealed official transcripts showing BA due upon employment + Credential Copy (Multiple Subject, Single Subject credentials, Special ED. or 30-Sub Sub Teaching Permit) + English Learner Authorization (if you have one) + Letters of recommendation (Two letters from colleagues and district employees) + Resume
Comments and Other InformationAppointment to this position is predicated upon submitting a negative TB result. In addition, the selected candidate must complete the state fingerprinting requirements and the district must receive a clearance by the California Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation and submission of required documents. Within three days of employment, all new employees shall show appropriate documents, which certify that they are legally eligible to work in the United States.
