POSITION SUMMARY
The Site Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and daily operations of a YMCA after school program site. This role ensures a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where youth can grow academically, socially, and physically. The Site Coordinator supervises staff, maintains strong relationships with school partners and families, and ensures all program components align with YMCA values and licensing requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Oversee day-to-day operations of the after school program site
- Supervise, train, and evaluate program staff and volunteers
- Plan and implement a balanced program that includes academic support, enrichment activities, and physical fitness
- Ensure compliance with YMCA policies, licensing regulations, and safety procedures
- Maintain accurate attendance records, incident reports, and program documentation
- Build and maintain positive relationships with school administrators, teachers, and district partners
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding program updates, student progress, and concerns
- Manage student behavior using positive guidance and discipline strategies
- Coordinate special events, family engagement activities, and field trips
- Monitor program supplies
- Ensure proper staff-to-student ratios at all times
- Conduct regular safety drills and ensure emergency procedures are followed
- Support enrollment, registration, and outreach efforts
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/management.

QUALIFICATIONSAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Recreation, or a related field preferred
