Mathematics Instructor, Part-Time

Job Overview

Part‑time, temporary Mathematics instructor assignments on an as‑needed basis. Applicants will be contacted by the hiring manager for interviews when assignments become available.

  Main Campus, High School partners.

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics.
• OR Bachelor’s degree in either of the above AND Master’s degree in Statistics, Physics, or Mathematics Education.
• OR Equivalent credentials.
• OR Valid California Community College Credential authorizing service in the appropriate subject matter.
• AND Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse student populations.
• Equivalent: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics AND one of the following:
  1) Master’s degree, including at least 24 graduate units in the area of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or Applied Statistics;
  2) Completion of 30 units in a Doctoral program in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics, including successful completion of 24 graduate units in the area of Mathematics or Applied Mathematics, or Statistics / Applied Statistics, AND evidence of advancement to candidacy.

• Teach assigned courses during day or evening, weekdays or weekends, or online.
• Commit to professional excellence and continuous growth in teaching.
• Perform other professional responsibilities and activities as described by Board Policies and the California Education Code.
