Geographic Information Systems Instructor - Part Time
We are seeking a part-time GIS Instructor to teach courses as assigned during day or evening, weekdays or weekends or online. The role may include teaching courses in GIS and related subjects, maintaining academic standards, and participating in faculty activities per college policies.
Basic Function/DefinitionThis continuous recruitment aims to fill part-time, temporary, hourly assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments will refer to the pool of applicants to fill temporary assignments as needed.
Minimum Qualifications- Any Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience,
- OR any Associate degree and six years of professional experience.
- Teach courses as assigned during day or evening, weekdays or weekends or online.
- Maintain a commitment to professional excellence and continuous growth in teaching.
- Fulfill other professional responsibilities and activities normally expected of community college faculty as described by Board Policies and the California Education Code.
- Ensure any degree earned outside the United States is evaluated by an Evaluation Service prior to the closing date, and certification is attached with copies of transcripts.
