• Possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent foreign degree plus at least two years of professional experience directly related to the faculty’s assignment.
• Possess an Associate degree or equivalent foreign degree plus at least six years of professional experience directly related to the faculty’s assignment.
• Hold a valid California Community College Credential authorizing service in the appropriate subject matter.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

• Teach courses as assigned during day and evening hours.
• Maintain a commitment to professional excellence and continuous growth in teaching.
• Fulfill other professional responsibilities and activities normally expected of members of community college faculty as described by Board Policies and the California Education Code.
• Ensure that any degree from a country other than the United States, including Canada and Great Britain, is evaluated by an Evaluation Service prior to the closing date, and that certification and copies of transcripts are attached.

• Provide documentation required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act to verify identity and right to work in the United States.
• Verify all prior work experience and provide all academic transcripts for purposes of salary placement.
  
  Submit a set of fingerprints (at the applicant’s expense) taken by an official Live Scan agency.
• Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam for initial employment (to be renewed every 4 years as required).
• For positions requiring a valid California driver’s license, provide proof of insurability.
