Under the direction of the site administrator, provides an educational program for elementary students in grades Transitional Kindergarten through sixth grade; plans, implements, and evaluates standards-based instruction aligned with District curriculum and State standards; creates a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and physical development of students; and performs related duties as assigned.

The East Whittier City School District provides educational opportunities (transitional kindergarten through eighth grade, including special education) for approximately 7,400 children. The District employs approximately 1,000 teachers, administrators and support staff. We have 13 schools which operate on a traditional school year schedule.
