Under the direction of the Superintendent/President, the Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Student Services serves as the Chief Student Services Officer and leads the planning, development, and implementation of student support programs. The Vice President/Assistant Superintendent of Student Services provides leadership, direction, and support in delivering student support programs and services; assumes responsibility for personnel and personnel practices in student services areas;

oversees operational services and activities; and works effectively with outside agencies. May assume the responsibility of the Superintendent/President in the absence of the Superintendent/President, in accordance with Board Policy 2432.
