Immediate start. Branch hours:
Monday–Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM;
Saturday 9:00 AM–1:00 PM. May require rotating Saturdays based on business needs.
We are hiring a part‑time Bilingual Teller who will be responsible for providing exceptional Member experiences with a focus on courtesy, product knowledge, accuracy, and timeliness with respect to all credit union products and services. The team member must be able to communicate all CU SoCal financial products and services with Spanish‑speaking Members.

Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Six or more months of cash handling experience in a retail/service industry.
- Six or more months of experience in member/customer service.
- Bilingual with fluency in English and Spanish to serve Spanish‑speaking Members while conducting their banking business.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of savings and checking products, accounts, and services.
- Working knowledge in all applicable Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
- Good verbal and written communication skills in person and over the phone, including very good active listening skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing high quality service to our Members and working as a team player.
- Ability to use knowledge of products, services, and branch operations.
- Process member transactions accurately, including deposits, transfers, withdrawals, and other transactions in accordance with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Process all transactions within assigned limits, maintain daily cash, and sell cash to the vault as needed so as not to exceed established limit; adhere to accurate cash balancing procedures; research and resolve cash differences.
- Identify opportunities to cross‑sell credit union products and services, generating referrals based on Member needs.
- Respond to Member inquiries and resolve issues; educate Members on alternative channels that provide service.
- Adhere to accurate check scanning and balancing.
- Adhere to the service standards outlined by the credit union.
- Assist with opening/closing branch procedures as necessary, including Saturday availability.
- Adhere to credit union policies, operational controls, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of Member and credit union assets.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and services.
- Work effectively in a team environment, interacting well and positively with co‑workers and management.
- Demonstrate understanding and active application of the Exceptional Experience Guide expectations.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Pay transparency is supported; base pay is benchmarked to the 50th percentile of market data. Hourly rates are:
Min. $17.47, Mid. $21.63, Max. $25.05. Actual compensation will be based on geographical location, work experience, education, and skill level.
