Client Relationship Consultant
At U.S. Bank, we are dedicated to helping customers and businesses make better financial decisions while supporting community growth. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong client relationships across multiple channels, including in-person, by appointment, and virtually.
Responsibilities- Build relationships with customers and engage them across multiple channels.
- Assess and attend to customers' banking needs, gathering and processing account information.
- Educate clients on deposit and loan products and recommend solutions aligned with their goals.
- Conduct proactive outreach and follow‑up, asking questions to understand financial needs and channel preferences.
- Maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products, including digital offerings.
- Provide consistent client experience, greeting clients and processing basic transactions.
- Collaborate with branch team members and partners to serve clients effectively.
- Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications.
- Educate clients on emerging and self‑service digital products to meet financial needs.
- Leverage available resources and technologies to optimize client experience with operational excellence and accuracy.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum three to four years of retail banking experience or equivalent training.
- National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.
- Subject to required registration, criminal background, and credit check; failure to maintain registration may result in rescission or termination.
- Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow‑up.
- Effective engagement and communication skills with clients.
- Thorough knowledge of bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Experience demonstrating digital products and self‑service technologies.
- Ability to identify and meet customers' needs using a digital‑first mindset.
- Basic proficiency in making appropriate, proactive and reactive recommendations.
- Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location for all scheduled workdays.
